Flat bits or spade bits are the normal choice for fast and precise drilling into hard and soft woods with mains or cordless drills. Use for cutting all the way through the work piece or leaving an uncompleted flat bottom hole with a defined centre point that can be drilled through with a smaller bit to take, for example, a bolt.
Twin Cutting Spurs & Cross Cutters
Toolventure's Astra collection is made of high carbon steel with a precision ground centring point and cutting edges on each side featuring spurs that bite quickly into the timber before the main cutting face goes to work.
Long Reach Bit Extensions
They come 152mm long with a ¼" hex shank format, suitable for regular chuck fitting or use with quick release bit holders and available in a broad choice of sizes to make holes from 6 to 40mm diameters.
We have many really useful multi-piece sets, as well as extension pieces of either 150mm or 300mm length which may be worth adding to your toolbag for those deeper holes.
