In the 40 years since the company's conception, Italian manufacturer GT Line has become the leader in the field of technical tool cases and now offers the widest range of storage solutions in Europe. Established in Bologna in 1970, GT Line has specialized in the production of technical cases from day one, and this experience is reflected in the superior quality, design and style of their innovative products.
GT Line design and manufacture their technical, industrial and professional tool cases in Italy using an ISO9001:2000 certified production process that ensures a consistently high quality product. This quality control, combined with precision manufacturing and extensive research and development, guarantees that you are purchasing the most highly developed technical tool cases available. Additionally GT Line's technological research and sophisticated injection moulding processes have allowed them to design and build tool cases using much more advanced materials than their competitors.
With the widest range of tool cases in Europe, GT Line have tool storage solutions to suit all types of service engineers who need to transport their tools safely and securely between jobs. From lightweight lower cost cases for carrying tools from vehicle to workplace up to larger heavy-duty models for storing and transporting tools around the world by air, GT Line have tool cases to match every scenario. For the more bespoke applications, GT Line can even build cases to individual company's specifications, allowing customers to have direct input into the design.
GT Line are at the forefront of material research, as different environments and working conditions require tool cases are made from appropriate materials that can withstand the task in hand. ABS is a lightweight and economical thermoplastic that is used on GT Line's entry-level cases. However it does have the downside of being susceptible to temperature changes such as those experienced in aircraft holds. GT Line has developed alternative materials like HDPE polyethylene and high thickness Polypropylene. Both of these materials have a much higher resistance to shock, high & low temperatures and chemical corrosion, making them suitable for use in tool cases destined for air travel.
With most GT Line tool cases you can choose which type of tool pallet system you would like fitted inside the case. These tool pallets, where you can store your smaller tools like screwdrivers, pliers, cutters and spanners, are available in three different versions to suit individual preferences. The traditional PEL elastic loop system is still a popular choice, particularly in the UK, while the newer PTS Flexi Pouches Plus™ system is growing in popularity across Europe. The latest tool holding design from GT Line is the innovative PSS tool pallet system, which is ideal for hand tools of all sizes.
While tool pallets provide the storage solution for your smaller tools, the bottom area of these technical cases allows for the storage of larger tools and accessories. GT Line tool cases come complete with dividers for this bottom area, allowing you to customise this compartment to suit your own needs. A foam insert kit is also available for some cases to enable you to carry sensitive equipment or a laptop safely.
A valuable addition to your tool and accessory organisation are the small component boxes that are included with several of the larger GT Line technical tool cases, which allow for the safe and secure storage of fasteners and fixings. Either two or three of these component boxes are supplied depending on the case chosen, and these can be conveniently stored in the large bottom storage compartment.
Growing in popularity every year, the technical tool case on wheels is able to transport tools quickly and effortlessly - invaluable storage for engineers and technicians who travel by air to international destinations to carry out their work. Several GT Line technical tool cases benefit from the addition of wheels and telescopic handles, and these robust professional models are able to cope with the rigours of luggage conveyor belts at airports as well as pressurised aircraft holds. Put simply, these wheeled tool cases take the strain out of moving tools to and from your place of work, whether travelling by public transport or from your parked vehicle.
GT Line not only manufactures professional and industrial technical tool cases but also a range of dust and waterproof cases under the Explorer brand, which provide a storage solution for any equipment that requires a high level of protection in even the harshest of environments. Those looking for lightweight and economical tool storage can choose from GT Line's Workline range of nylon and polyester soft-sided tool bags and pouches. Included in this range is the rolling tool bag on wheels, the rucksack style backpack and several tool and document bags. All are suitable for carrying a selection of tools, documents and even your laptop safely in one place.
From their base in Bologna, GT Line manufactures a range of professional and industrial technical tool cases suitable for travelling engineers, service engineers, electricians and technicians. This Italian company is renowned throughout Europe for their high build quality, stylish design and use of hardwearing materials that make these cases the professional’s choice for tool storage when on the move.
The Turtle 350 Tool Case is GT Line’s top of the line offering and is the best selling technical case in Europe for engineers who need to travel by air and transport their tools safely and securely. This virtually indestructible tool trolley has a shell made entirely from unbreakable HDPE, high-density polyethylene, that protects against the shocks, knocks and drops encountered during baggage handling and on conveyor belts at airports. Further protection is offered, particularly at the corners, through the addition of bumpers that are fitted around the edges of the case. An extra thick aluminium trim around the two case sections ensure a tight closure, while twin locks with keys keep your contents secure when on the move.
Travelling with the GT Line Turtle 350 Tool Case is effortless due to the two large wheels fitted with ball bearings and the extending telescopic handle to pull the case along with. Two additional ergonomic handles with rubber-coated grips are easily accessible on the top and side of the case body for lifting when required. The case opens via a heavy-duty single steel hinge, which is riveted in several places to give a high resistance to frequent opening. When in use, the Turtle 350 tool case sits on four rubber feet for stability and the lid is held open by two metal safety support stays.
The Turtle 350 is a high capacity tool case ideal for air travelling engineers that carry tools, spare parts and components up to 45kg in weight. The large base area can hold larger hand tools, power tools, accessories, and spare parts, and there are also 3 small component boxes included with the case. Screwdrivers, pliers, cutters, spanners and other hand tools are organised on the two tool pallets supplied with the case, and there is the option to add an extra pallet if required. The top tool board has tool holding facilities on both sides, while the lower tool board has tool holders on one side to allow more space in the storage compartment underneath.
A choice of PEL, PTS and PSS tool holding systems are available for the Turtle 350 technical case. The PEL system utilises the traditional elastic strip with reinforced stitching to provide elasticated tool loops to suit different sized tools. The Turtle 350 PTS has tool pallets featuring GT Line’s patented Flexi Pouch Plus™ system; elasticated pouches with see-through plastic bottoms to easily identify and select the correct tool. The most recent tool pallet system is GT Line’s PSS™, Professional Storage System, where the tools are held in place by the pressure of four rubber blades contained in an aluminium housing, making it ideal for heavy-duty use and facilitating faster tool changes. In addition all top tool boards have a large pocket with closing flap and a document wallet that sits behind the top pallet.
The New Mega Wheels is another popular technical tool case from GT Line that is capable of carrying 30-35kgs and is also air transport handling resistant. The shockproof high-density polyethylene together with a double wall construction technique combine to provide great resistance to high and low temperatures and to most of the corrosive chemical substances in the workplace. These attributes mean the GT Line New Mega Wheels is a robust and reliable tool case for travelling technicians and engineers, and with two large ball bearing wheels and a telescopic handle moving around is simple and undemanding.
The bottom storage compartment can be organised using the adjustable dividers supplied with the New Mega Wheels tool case and two small component boxes are also included which fit snugly into this area. A sturdy, ergonomic handle is fitted to the side for lifting and when lying flat the New Mega Wheels sits on four incorporated feet. The case has two flush fitting lockable catches for security and two metal lid safety support stays to make sure the case remains in the open position when required. Once again GT Line offer a choice of the PEL, PTS and PSS tool storage systems for organising your hand tools efficiently and safely, making the New Mega Wheels a versatile tool case.
A new addition to the GT Line range of technical tool cases is the family of Atomik tool cases with a load rating of up to 25kgs. This is a high thickness polypropylene case that uses a new technologically advanced injection moulding technique to ensure a constant material thickness, even in the corners. This material makes the Atomik 215 case extremely resistant against chemical corrosion, shock and high & low temperature. A large thick aluminium trim makes the case ideal for daily heavy-duty use and an Atomik WH version with wheels is also now available.
The GT Line Atomik is supplied with two tool pallets and you can choose from the PEL, PTS Flexi Pouch Plus™ or PSS™ Professional Storage System with the option of adding a third tool board with the PSS system on one side and elastic loops on the other. The bottom storage area on this tool case has removable dividers fixed directly onto the shell body and there is also a special pre-cubed foam kit available for this compartment that can be adjusted in shape and size to hold and transport measuring or testing equipment with less risk of damage.
The three metal hinges for maximum strength, two metal locks with keys and two metal lid safety support stays further enhance the build quality of the GT Line Atomik tool cases, increasing their appeal to anyone requiring a strong, robust, practical case. The Atomik WH wheeled version differs from other wheeled GT Line technical cases as the wheels are fitted so that the travelling position is horizontal, the same way you would normally carry a case.
For those carrying fewer tools and preferring a tool case that is economical and lightweight GT Line have the Revo PTS, Revo Slim PTS and Revo Wheels 200 PTS. These lightweight yet robust cases are made in vacuum formed ABS, utilising the most advanced automated production processes, and are suitable for carrying 15-20kgs in weight. All are supplied with two tool pallets with the Flexi Pouches Plus™ PTS system and apart from the compact Revo Slim version they have a bottom tray with removable dividers. A central combination lock and two side latch locks allow the contents to be kept safe and secure. The Revo Wheels 200 PTS has the addition of wheels and a telescopic handle that collapses into the body of the case making it more practical even when fully loaded.
Other cases in the GT Line range include the modern and exceptionally strong Bomber and the elegant and ultra stylish De Luxe, which has an anodized aluminium body and rounded shape. Watertight to 10 metres, GT Line’s Waterproof tool cases offer ultimate protection, not only from water, but also from corrosion, sand and dust and are especially suited to military and nautical applications.
Whatever the application there is a GT Line case to suit your needs.
