Chisels & Planes

The classic carpenter’s tool is the wood chisel, typically in sizes between 6mm and 40mm in bevel edge format. We have them either with soft grip but no-split handles with a steel cap allowing a steel hammer to be used or the latest unbreakable “thru tang” FatMax ones with chrome alloy blades up to a massive 50mm width. Our range of planes for stock removal and smoothing includes a conventional 50mm bladed smoothing plane, the Bailey No.4, the modern classic “Surform” block planer and 3 types of traditional block planes for shaving off small amounts of stock and tidying up edges.
