The Direct Pressure Taping Knife SS Durasoft is designed to make drywall installation and maintenance easier and more comfortable than ever. This taping knife is for use when spreading the initial coats of joint compound over plaster joints and bedding the tape into them. Made from stainless steel, the blade is less likely to stain, corrode or rust compared to normal steel. The blade is also tapered so that corners can be run faster and easier.

When used over long periods of time conventional taping knifes, as with most hand tools, can tire the hand, wrist, arm and forearm, and with repeated use possibly result in more serious injury. To eliminate these risks the Marshalltown Direct Pressure Taping Knife has an ergonomic DuraSoft handle that bends upwards from the side of the blade, rather than being attached onto the end. This provides a more natural touch and feel when working and allows for greater control and pressure with less effort.
