Stanley's 9 1/2 premium block planes are the perfect hand tool for producing a fine finish to surfaces with the base and frog cast as one and a thicker 3mm blade to reduce chatter. The Stanley range of planes feature the finest hardened, tempered and precision ground chrome carbon alloy steel cutters to ensure a keen cutting edge.

The precision machined base is flat to.003" for maximum accuracy and the heavier body gives increased performance. The blade is made of A2 steel for increased edge retention and also stays sharper for longer. Solid brass adjustments ensure a smooth operation and this model has a patented lateral adjustment locking feature that allows for easier adjustment.
