Stabila’s BM 40 tape measure is ideal for professional use, providing high accuracy measuring with verified accuracy of Class II. The redesigned shatter-proof plastic case incorporates a shock-absorbent rubber grip for impact resistance and user comfort. Ergonomically designed, this case has a straight housing that allows the tape to be used one handed when taking vertical measurements. For added convenience there is a belt clip to allow the tape to be attached to trousers or onto a tool pouch.

A durable polyester coating on the blade provides abrasion resistance, while the matt finish prevents reflections when measuring. An identical measuring scale on both sides of the tape has both metric and imperial graduations, making the tape easy to read in any situation.

The blade hook features Stabila's patented Spikes hook, which prevents the hook from slipping on smooth surfaces. There is also an integrated eyelet to allow measuring over longer distances or with three-dimensional shapes. A smooth rewind mechanism together with shock absorbing blade bumper bring the blade to a gentle stop as the hook returns to its parked position.

A high-performance brake ensures that the blade is reliably locked in position without retracting, even when fully extended.
