The Carhartt Sandstone Arctic Vest is made from 12 ounce, 100% cotton sandstone duck, micro-sanded and washed for a softer finish. The vest has a 100% polyester, arctic-weight quilted lining as well as a snug fitting elasticated collar, which both provide extra warmth along with the drop tail. The front zip closure also includes an inside wind flap to reduce draughts. The work fit includes enlarged arm openings to allow for an extended range of motion.

The front of the vest features two insulated hand pockets, with the left also featuring the Carhartt logo. Inside the vest, there is a further pocket on the left side. This has a Velcro closure to provide a secure storage option.
