Our deliveries are sent out by Royal Mail or courier depending on the delivery type chosen and most will require a signature especially those on the Express Delivery services. For this reason someone will normally need to be at the delivery address to accept the parcel. We can also deliver your order to a workplace, friend's or relative's address if you provide this as your delivery address when ordering.
If you have chosen the Express Delivery service and wish the couriers to leave the parcel in a safe place in the event that you are not available to accept delivery, you can add these instructions at the checkout. Please note that this is at the driver’s discretion and that you accept all risks & liability when instructing parcels to be left in your absence.
Any undelivered items that are not collected within the timeframes set out in 'The Delivery Process' will be returned to us and a redelivery charge would apply.

We have partnered Royal Mail and a number of the UK's leading couriers to carry out the delivery of your order.
ROYAL MAIL will normally attempt delivery to your neighbour if you are unavailable, unless you have given prior instructions to Royal Mail against this. If delivery is unsuccessful you should be left a card to advise that the parcel will be available to collect from your local Royal Mail Delivery Office. However if you are expecting an item please check with your neighbours and sorting office whether they have received your item as on some occasions the postman may not have been able to leave a card. If the parcel is not collected within 18 days it will be returned to us and a redelivery charge would apply to resend this to you.
COURIERS are used for all Express Delivery orders. The courier will normally attempt delivery to your address only, unless instructions have been given to leave the parcel with a neighbour or in a safe place. If there is no answer, a redelivery will automatically take place on the next working day. Should this redelivery also be unsuccessful the parcel will be held at the local depot for collection within 5 working days before being returned to us and a redelivery charge would apply to resend this to you.
Our Standard Delivery option is ideal when you do not need items to be delivered urgently.
Most Standard Delivery orders will be sent out by Royal Mail, but large or bulky items will be sent via courier.
We will process and pack Standard Delivery orders within 1-2 working days and you will normally receive your parcel within 5 working days of despatch. However we recommend allowing 10 working days after despatch before contacting us about a late delivery. This is because Royal Mail does not consider an item as missing until 15 working days from the date of posting, so we are unable to investigate with them until after this time.
Tracking details are not available for orders sent through the post. However, please be aware that unless you have given prior instructions to Royal Mail they will also attempt delivery to a neighbour, or failing this return the item to your local Royal Mail Delivery Office. You should check with your neighbours and local sorting office, as the postman may have run out of calling cards to notify you should this have taken place.
Large or bulky items may have been sent by courier and if this is the case your despatch email will contain a parcel reference and a link to track the delivery. Should you have any queries for a courier delivery just give us a call or contact the carrier quoting your parcel reference.

Express Delivery orders must be received by 2pm to be despatched that day. Orders received after this time will be processed the following working day.

Some products available to buy on Tool Venture, including but not limited to Site & Van Boxes, Workshop Roller Cabinets & Chests, are listed as "IN STOCK - DELIVERY DIRECT FROM SUPPLIER IN 1-2 WORKING DAYS". These products will be sent direct to you from the manufacturer or supplier and can only be delivered within the UK Mainland (excluding Scottish Highlands – see postcodes above).
Delivery of these items will normally take place within 1-2 working days but this is subject to the supplier having stock available.
We are happy to check stock availability of Delivery Direct From Supplier items before you place your order, just give us a call prior to ordering with the items you are interested in.
Please note that due to the size and weight of Site & Van Boxes, Cabinets & Chests a 2-man lift will be required when unloading these items.

Payment will be charged in full at the time an order is placed and only one delivery charge will be applied to the order even if we send more than one parcel. We will issue a refund for any items which are out of stock and not eligible for pre-ordering.
Once your order has been despatched you will receive an email to confirm despatch and another with the VAT Invoice. If you have selected an Express Delivery service the despatch email will include details of how to track the delivery of your parcel. Tracking will not normally be available for orders sent on the Standard Delivery service.
Delivery estimates for your order are based on the delivery service levels provided by Royal Mail and the couriers but should be treated as a guide only. We do not accept any liability for delayed deliveries including, but not limited to, those caused by any third party, fire, flood, mechanical breakdown, adverse weather or the recipient not being available to sign at the time of delivery.
