Building on the success of their innovative SlimVario range, the Wiha 10pc Slim Vario VDE Torque Screwdriver Set includes the new SlimTorque VDE Bit Holder together with a range of slotted, Phillips and Pozi insulated blades to suit most applications.

The Electrical Safety Councils 17th Edition Wiring Regulations now require installers to check torque settings for connection tightness at consumer units where instructed to do so by the manufacturer. Connections that are too loose can cause arcing, whereas over tightening can cause the screw to cut through the wire and damage the connection.

This new set provides a convenient way to ensure that these connections are tightened safely. Using the torque setter, the torque of the bit holder can be adjusted between 1.0-5.0 Nm as required. An audible click that can also be felt tells the user when the set torque value has been reached, avoiding the potential for damage.

Each of the insulated blades within this set utilise the SlimVario system with a diameter 33% less than conventional screwdrivers, allowing access to low-lying fasteners and spring clips. This is achieved by spraying a protective insulation directly onto the end of the blades and completely integrating the insulation onto the lower blade area. Each blade is made from chrome-vanadium-molybdenum steel with a hardened black finish.
